Fon tribe phalluses

The Fon tribe people live at the border of Tago and Benin. Legba, the great god who is one of the wodou god whose origin can be traced to the Fon people of the West African kingdom of Dahomey, which was founded in the 16^th century in the region that is today southern Benin. He is viewed as young and virile, often horned and phallic, and his shrine is usually located at the gate of the village. The Fon people still make wooden and steel phalluses of Legba.
